New Haven White Firefighters Win Supreme Court Appeal

On Monday, the New Haven Firefighters won their case in the Supreme Court which overturned a decision from high court nominee Sonia Sotomayor.

In 2003, the firefighters were unfairly denied promotions because of their race.

"The ruling could give Sotomayor's critics fresh ammunition two weeks before her Senate confirmation hearing."

I've been blogging about this case for quite a while. It's a nice glimmer of hope in the midst of so many negative decisions coming from Washington.

Story here.

Thank you for being a Patriot and publicizing (organizing?) the Tea Party. I didn't know there were any other Taxed Enough Alreadys in Lexington! We'll be there!

Yes, I am the organizer. That's wonderful. See you there!

Gotta love those who think we are "Taxed Enough" instead of "Taxed Appropriately"... Thus the reason for the situation we are in... AUGH!!! Freedom isn't free; if you don't want to pay taxes move to Honduras!!

I couldn't agree more! I've never spoken out about not paying any taxes. I'm a proponent of the fair tax. I think it is my civic duty to pay taxes. However, what we are paying now and what the government is spending is way too excessive. THAT is what the Tea Parties are all about.

That is not what the Tea Parties are about otherwise they would have been going on for years. The Tea Parties of today are about anti-government minded individuals disliking paying their fair share in taxes for services that can only be provided by the government.

There is NO party leadership that is directly supporting or attending these. It is only small time voices wanting to feel like they are doing something to "go against the system". Otherwise, we would see some real agenda with real examples of where mismanagement is occurring.

Welcome to Obama world and being a community organizer; you couldn't have a better mentor; though your followers are probably the type that don't pay their fair share in taxes because they are independant contracts or small business owers who "hide" receipts and cash.

Be nice when you start hitting real topics instead of news headlines from the "entertainers" you follow...

You're more right than you know. The Tea Parties ARE a grassroots movement. I will not allow sitting or possible candidates speak at any of the rallies that I organize. It's about giving the voice back to WE THE PEOPLE. And WE are sick and tired of big government spending. It did start with the last administration and has accelerated under the current one. THAT is what has made us come out now and not earlier. Before, yes, it was massive spending but it was nothing compared to what is being projected today. THAT is why I am a TEA Party organizer.
